Backrooms (2026)

Good but none of the valences really connect to anything. The overlaying conspiracy theory plot which turns the whole liminal space into a concrete exploitable thing feels particularly pointless, very internet creepy pasta. I felt the film was strongest when at it's most vibesy in the early sections.

Feels like this film will have tons of sequels which expand on the "lore" in profoundly stupid ways
